UNDYING LOVE
When I am alone and my thoughts just drift,
To a time when I had a precious gift.
A gift of love that came to me,
A love I know that will always be.
I close my eyes, hold back the sigh,
To let it go I just know I'd cry,
I was yours and you were mine,
We made a vow til the end of time.
A choice was made and now I see,
The choice I made was wrong for me.
Where are you now? I wonder yet.
I loved you then and can't forget.
You made the stars dance in my eyes,
You held me close and heard my sighs.
Deep in my heart. I know there's a flame,
That dances and flickers when I hear your name.
To feel your touch, when things go wrong,
I know that now, it's where I belong.
I pray each night to God above,
To send you back I need your love.

My needs are simple,
My wants are few,
And they are less
Since I met you.
Our time is spent
In different ways,
But you bring fun
Into my days.
Do you know what
What it means to share,
Trials and errors
With a friend who's there?
When help is needed
Along the line
You are there,
All the time.
You say you're no teacher,
But it seems to me.
You are the best
At teaching me.
Once you have shown me,
It stays in my brain,
Not just for today
But til needed again.
I want to say Thank You.
You're the right kind of friend.
The kind I do want,
Right to the end..

FRIENDSHIP LOST
When in you're doubt, be more than kind
It'll always remain on the other's mind.
If you are a true friend, that's up to you
Always be faithful, loyal, loving and true.
When trust is gone, it is nothing to jest
For then you will be like some of the rest.
We all need someone, that we all know
A special friendship to grow and grow.
Someone to love and will always share
Your love and trust and always be there.
To lose a friend we thought we had
Remains with us and we will feel sad.
The friends we have we should always keep
And not have to lose and make us weep.

BRIDE OF DESPAIR
The union is complete now,
He pursued me,
I lost, we were wed.
Why? I do not know.
He took my hand,
He led me away
Deeper and deeper,
To the depths of despair.
He is happy,
He is complete.
He has consumed me.
Consumation is complete.
He holds my hand,
Pulling me down,
His embrace is now mine.
Deeper and deeper,
I am alone.
Fear in my heart,
And oh, so alone.
I feel I am doomed
To a life not my own.
I am hurting inside,
And my faith may be torn.
I ask myself
Over and over again,
Why me? what have I done?
This hurt is destroying me.
I can't take any more.
Despair has consumed me,
He's pulling me down,
Deeper and deeper,
He won't let me go.
He's happy to hold me,
And lead me away,
The pain it is tearing
My life blood away.
It's hard to feel all alone,
When friends are there,
But yet, I am alone.
I want to be open,
And share with them my heart.
But despair is holding me,
He won't let me go.
I am oh so unhappy.
Just being his bride.
He is so happy,
With his new bride..

INNER THOUGHTS
Time goes by but memories stay.
I miss you more each passing day.
I miss your smile, your sunny face.
It follows me most every place.
When I am awake and when I sleep,
The vision I have is mine to keep.
If I had known just how I'd feel,
A kiss I may have tried to steal.
But you are gone, I let you go.
Don't ask me why, I do not know.
I think about what could have been.
I want you now from deep within.
He is watching from up above,
And He knows if this is love.
What could have been, might still be ours,
But for now, I'll just count the hours.
I miss you more each passing day,
And I do wonder, will it stay?
The thoughts I have, the way I feel,
Some day I hope to know it's real.
I let the chance slip by my hands,
Because this life holds big demands.
And if this love is meant to be,
You will be back, right here with me.
If this poem some day you'll see,
You'll know just how it is with me.
I'll never forget you, you're deep in my heart.
And though you are gone and we are apart.
I will cherish your memory and your name,
In hope some day, we will meet again..

NO CHOICE
Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose
The ones they are we cannot choose.
And I will wonder until the day I die
While on this earth why I even try.
To find true friends and have them go
Is a painful thing but it is so.
To have and hold and then to part
Brings pain and sorrow to the heart.
The real true friends that really care
Are the ones we find that are so rare.

I never thought that I would say,
To another along life's way.
You're in my heart and on my mind,
I think about you all the time.
A feeling deep inside me has blossomed Heaven knows,
And grown into a precious love, like a bloom upon a rose.
I think of you each morning and hear a small voice say,
"Oh, how I long to see you to make a perfect day."
I think about your gentle touch and warm embrace,
Of your sweet smile and your precious face.
A hand that's mine to hold and touch,
A gentle squeeze that means so much.
When you look at me and then you smile,
It really makes my life worthwhile.
I've waited all this time for you,
To share a love so rare and true.
My love, I know 'til the end of time,
That I am yours and you are mine.
This love is precious and just begun,
And one day we'll be joined as one.

Like a poisoned pup in a vistibule

That doesn't stop at the nearest bar
